Hi, I’m Brittany—a birth doula and birth photographer based in Chatham-Kent, Ontario and surrounding area

For me- Birth Photography is the encapsulation of the Greatest Love Story. The day you met baby.

You will never be able to experience your birth from the outside, you don't see the tender moments, the emotion, the intimacy. The small moments, the small touches. You'd never be able to see your raw reaction to being in the in between, where your new baby is laying on your chest but your mind hasn't caught up yet. The moment you throw you head back, take that huge breath and the unmistakable look of "wow, I did it". The reaction of your partner perhaps, as they see these two souls intertwine and the moment your lives change forever. Its incredibly raw, its powerful and its unlike anything ever.

Its an album you will cherish for a lifetime and a thousand tiny moments you'll have to look back and reminisce on. Possibly an heirloom to share with that child of their story into your arms.

My approach to birth photography is quiet, respectful, and unobtrusive. I focus on capturing the real story as it unfolds naturally, without interrupting your space or experience.

My Approach as Both Doula & Photographer

Because I am also a birth doula and a mum to 5, I have grown very familiar with the flow and energy of labour in a very unique way. I know when to step in with support, and when to quietly step back and document.

This means you don’t have extra people in your space. I can support you emotionally while also capturing your story, in a way that feels calm and natural.
